WINGS (Women Intently Navigating God's Scripture) Small Group

1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month

Bird scetch10 p.m. to 12 p.m. at YPC in room 102*

WINGS (Women Intently Navigating God's Scripture) meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 10 a.m to noon in room 102 from September through May.   New members are always welcome. The first meeting for the fall begins the third Tuesday of September.  The format for our lessons together includes a study guide and a DVD component shared at our gatherings.

In the summer, we read a fictional or non-fiction book written by a Christian author and then discuss.   We also  come together occasionally for social gatherings.

*We are still meeting virtually until  conditions allow for us to gather together again.  If you are interested in joining us, please contact Angie Udelhofen at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Try the Small Group Experiment

Many folk at YPC will tell you that one of the most meaningful aspects of their faith journey is their membership in a small group. (Did you know we have at least a dozen small groups currently?) This is the place where faith and life intersect. Though worship is critical and Sunday School a place to learn about God, its in the context of a small group that we have space to talk about how our faith applies to life beyond 1099 S. York. It is here we ask together, "How do we live out our faith at work, as a spouse and a parent?"

If you have never been in one, try a Small Group. Most of our current groups are open, you can join at any time. Please contact Pastor Matt or Pastor Lauren if you are interested in a specific group or want to discuss which group might fit you best.

Self-Care through Small Groups

Besides worshiping and serving God, we want you to enjoy God! In particular, we want you to find a place in the church where you can be fed, where you can grow and be spiritually nourished.   At Yorkfield we have found that this happens most often in our Small Group Ministry.

Small Groups are the place where you can talk about those places where your faith meets the reality of the everyday world: work, school, marriage, family, child raising, etc. Small Groups are where we make new friends and learn to encourage each other as we strive to follow Christ.

Each group is 8-12 people, and they come in all shapes and varieties: men’s groups, women’s groups, couple’s groups; groups for older adults and groups for 20-30-somethings, etc.

Currently the following open small groups are meeting:
